Biography

Paul Winchester is a composer and performer based in Minnesota.  Paul holds a B.Mus. in Composition from The College of Wooster and an M.Mus. from Syracuse University where he was a Heaton Fellow and recipient of the Brian Israel Prize in Composition.

Paul’s music has been performed by the Syracuse University Singers, The Wooster Chorus, the Wooster Symphony Orchestra, From Age to Age, and several soloists and chamber ensembles from the Duluth, Wooster, and Syracuse areas.  He has received commissions from, among others, the Syracuse Society for New Music, the University of Minnesota-Duluth Theatre Department, the Duluth Playhouse, and the Ohio Shakespeare Festival.

Paul is currently a freelance performer based in the Duluth and Minneapolis/St. Paul areas of Minnesota.
